I'm thinking I have one of those rifles... But don't have a manual.... If it the rifle I'm thinking about, it's fairly simple and strait forward.

You can check mossberg website for manual for downloading... The rifle is kinda old but they may have it.

Check in the Mossberg stickies section for information or do a search for M51 and you will find a lot of information.

The M51 is pretty easy to reassemble the wrong way. If the firing pin is stuck protruding from the bolt face, you assembled it in the wrong order. The spring assembly goes in before the firing pin.

When you shoot it watch it feed a round when you pull the bolt back. This rifle doesn't feed by stripping a round off the feed lips it actually spits a round into the chamber before the bolt comes forward.
