What if there are no police to call?

This is an interesting article on how 80,000 citizens in Oregon do not have police to call. Usually the conventional advice is to "just call the police" as a first measure and "let the police take care of it", but what if you live in a part of America which has no police? The state of Oregon has issued this advice for its citizens: “You may want to consider relocating to an area with adequate law enforcement services,” I don't find this advice to be acceptable. So if you have a farm or a business which you have operated for over 20 years then you have to move because the government can't protect you. |
