anyone ever used 50gr. zmax and aa2015?

I have 1000 50 gr. Zmax bullets being shipped but have only loaded 55gr vmax, my manuals do not list the z or vmax in 50gr. This is for loading .223 for my AR. I have 8lb of aa2015 on hand and cci small rifle primers. Does anyone have any suggestions and or loads they can share for this bullet and powder combo? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I'm not positive, but I think I remember reading that the zmax is is a vmax with a green tip. No other diffrence. Here's the link to Accurate's reloading data - - they show a start at 20.3 and a max of 22.5 with a COL of 2.260"

I used 55g data until I found 50/53g data. I settled on a max for 55g load that ended up being a grain bellow max for the lighter bullets. They are very accurate in my guns.

I haven't loaded the 50 gr Z-Max specifically, but I have loaded a lot of 50 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips and Hornady 50 gr SP and SX bullets with Accurate 2015. My records indicate I loaded up to 25.5 gr, although it appeared that I settled on 25.0 gr for my pet load. Currrent load manuals show lower charges as maximum, except for the current Sierra manual, which still shows up to 25.7 gr as maximum for an AR-15 load with a 50 gr bullet. I had no issues with a Savage bolt gun nor a Remington 700 SPS Varmint with the 25.0 gr load. Both had a 1 in 12" twist. Velocity was around 3400 fps out of the long barrel and 3350 out of the 24" barrel, if I recall correctly. I load more Ramshot TAC now, but still have some 2015 on hand. It is a very good powder for accuracy and velocity in the .223 Rem with bullets 55 gr and under, in my experience.
