rossi m92 problem

I posted this in rifle section with no response. I just purchased a rossi m92 trapper in .357. after 50 or so trouble free rounds the action locked up after firing. I found that if I pressed in on the loading gate it unlocked the action. I thought I found the problem when I noticed the screw behind the gate was loose, but no. it "seems" it is more likely to happen with a full or close to full magazine. when it locks up you can see the loading gate is almost flush with the receiver. any ideas? thanks..........
