An Early Spencer

This 1863 Spencer has serial No. 11376. The series started at 11001, so this is a low number edition. Condition is rough but honest? It looks like it was well used in the Civil War and maybe many fracases thereafter. Information on Spencer shipments is sketchy and I am not very good at researching such things, so don't know where it might have gone or what regiment might have used it. I think honest Civil War stuff is only going to keep increasing in value.

It probably was not used by the military after the Civil War because it does not have the Stabler cut-off, and they chose the best and latest for that alteration.

But it appears to be in quite good condition, all things considered, though better pictures would be needed for any kind of real evaluation.
