Mystic shopping assignment or more? Please share w/ sales staff!

just received this one. Not sure if this particular forum is the appropriate one to bring it up. Moderator please feel free to move my thread. Thank you very much!

*** has a no hassle Sporting Goods Store Evaluation available in your area. The assignment must be completed during the "when to shop" dates, which are from 2/6-2/8 .

The purpose of this engagement is to ensure sales associates are performing the non- negotiable standards in regards to customer service and compliance with the policy of selling hunting equipment.

A successfully completed evaluation includes the following:
" Interacting with a Sales Floor Department associate, as well as a Service Department associate.
" Observing the cash wrap area and making a $1 purchase.
" Interacting with a Hunting Department associate to determine if he/she complies with firearm regulations .
" Filling out an online evaluation form, which contains Yes/No questions. There are no detailed narratives.

If you are interested, please log onto our website (www.*******.com) and check for the assignment. If the assignment is available, you can self assign it after becoming certified for this client engagement. If you have any questions, please email ***** or call us at 516-***-****. ***'s hours of operation are Monday thru Friday from 9am to 5pm, Eastern Time.

We look forward to hearing from you!

This just looks like some customer satisfaction survey? Do I get a prize for taking part?

This is a job assignment for a paid professional shopper.

It does look like a survey, or one of those "mystery shopper" programs, but why would they have their mystery shopper checking on firearms regulations? For that matter, how could they be sure that the MS would have a clue about firearms law?

From whence came this mysterious email?
I'm a lawyer, but I'm not your lawyer. If you need some honest-to-goodness legal advice, go buy some.

Or similar.

It's an interesting way to get your car serviced and make a few bucks now and then, or get a free meal and $15.00, or similar.

Not related to Law or Civil Rights. Not really related to guns. Nothing to do but....

Closed as off topic.
