Buy 22 pistol to train with or a case of 9mm?

I find myself shooting more and wanting to shoot more.

Thinking of buying a 22 pistol to shoot more, M&P 22 specifically. (the 9mm/22LR shortage won't last forever)

I could buy a case of 9mm ammo for about the same cost. Which would be a better value for training?

Did you find shooting a 22LR pistol improved your regular pistol shooting skills?

Are there 22LR conversion kits for the M&P series and Shield?

There is one advantage to shooting .22 is the recoil is very little. You could work on trigger control easier with a .22 compared to shooting 9mm. The cost of ammo is much less as well. You will still need to adjust to the recoil of the 9 mm later on. I have used .22 pistols a lot for practice.

Just remember when things are not going well return to the basics and everything should start to improve.
