"If Redding Turret Presses are so good how come none of the match winning and record setting folks use them?"

In 2003 Kyle brown set a 1000yr record, 10 shot group 4.2". Kyle used Redding's T-7 turret press,Type S full length Sizing die, and Redding's Competition Seating. Here is a link to his recipe on

Bushing dies will not over work the case neck of your expensive brass helping it to last longer. Not over sizing the neck helps with concentricity. The Competition Seating Die makes it easier to seat the bullet straighter without extra effort. The more expensive dies make it easier not necessarily better.

Just my opinion.

That record has been surpassed last I checked.

My point was that you cannot make a judgement on the quality of equipment based on what top competitors don't use. If that were the case then no one would ever market a minivan. Sure a minivan is a vehicle, but it is designed to do something entirely different than make laps around a racetrack.

Heck, before that Robert Frey used Lee Collet dies to set a 1000 yard record.

Machine guns are awesome until you have to carry one.
