Pressure ratings for R-P 38 Special , +p, 357mag
Hi wondering if anyone had data on the respective recommended pressure for reloading Remington 38 special brass, 38+p and 357mag all R-P brass
also recently acquired some WCC +P+ in 38special surprised thought it went from +p to magnum any info on that would be helpful. have used WCC +P+ in 9mm for hot hornady 115 grn XTP loads and Speer 45ACP +P for hornady 185 grn XTP but new to 38's many thanks |

brian thks vm for that link lots of useful info there
but noting for 38Special +P+ or 9mm +P+ which WCC seem to be making any ideas? |

+p+ does not have a standard. The designation literally means that the cartridges are loaded beyond SAAMI spec. How much beyond, is up to the maker.

There are no SAMMI specs for +p+ in any caliber. As far as I am aware no firearms manufacture recommends +p+ in any firearm. Thus it appears that +p+ is just a sales gimmick used by ammunition manufactures.

Since there aren't any specs for +P+ ammo I won't use it in any pistol I own.
