P345 Slide Wear? Normal?

I have an inquiry pending with Ruger on this but I was also curious what the rest of you think. Is this normal and to be expected with a handgun using this style of action?

The photo is of the underside of the slide.

Looks like the tool used to bore out the barrel hole in the front of the slide went off course a little. It has proably been there from the day it left the factory.

My P345 doesn't have anything like that or even the beginnings of it.

Any idea what could be dragging along the slide to cause this? You can also see from the picture some pretty noticeable wear at the point where the barrel exits the muzzle.

I'll be sure to report back what the guys in Prescott tell me.

I know Ruger firearms are not always known as the most "polished" in comparison to some other firearms. However, I find it hard to believe that something like that would get through the front gates so to speak.
