Dunno if it's true or not, but supposedly a farmer painted "C-O-W" in white paint on the side of his milk cow.

Dead cow. With a bullet hole in the middle of the "O".

I know this is true. I saw it.

There used to be a fella that had property next to a freeway (St.Rt. 33) just East of Lancaster Oh., West of Logan Oh. that had a couple mules in the fields and he painted an orange X on their sides just prior to shotgun season.

There are a few here on TFL that don't live far away from the place and probably remember this as well.

Art, the worst one I recall happened in Maine while I was stationed at NAS Brunswick.

A woman foolishly decided to wear a suede jacket and white mittens while hiking, during firearm deer season.

She was shot not once, but twice.

Game warden and police speculated that after being shot the first time, she raised her hands, and the "hunter" mistook that for a whitetail flash...

We did it right in Mississippi last year. We are starting to get a population of black bears back but they are still, of course, illegal to hunt. Hopefully the population will be healthy enough one day to hunt. Anyway, these two idiots killed 2 bears and put the skins in the freezer and went around bragging about it. They are doing 30, yes 30 years in prison now.
