Maverick 88/500 barrel?
My old man (74 and still hunts religiously) was eyeing up a Mossberg Maverick 88 on sale at Dick`s Sports. he wants to know if a Mossberg 500 20 ga. slug barrel will fit on the Maverick 88. Neither of us know much about Mossbergs. Any thoughts on this?

Is the Maverick also a 20 ga.? Is the Mossberg barrel relatively modern (made in the last 15 years or so)?
If so, then the the barrel should be interchangeable. |

So long as mag tube is same capacity, a Mav 88 will fit on any modern (last 30 or so years at least) 500 with equal bore and chamber capacity...
