I loved those 64 Winchester PP's, once upon a time they were cheap. Still have a sealed box of 2000 I bought for $150 delivered. They killed coyotes, deer and javelina very well, and shot great.

The Berger VLD are a target bullet, not game bullet. They do say they work good for varmints, too = they come apart. As they did in your test.
Do you have a recipe/procedure for your wax? Including the slime color!

"Bergers Target bullets are the perfect answer for those longer shots. The
target bullet is available in Boat Tail and Flat Base. Compared to a flat base,
the boat tail reduces drag. This allows boat tail bullets to achieve higher
ballistic coefficiency so they will be less affected by wind conditions. Plus,
boat tail bullets typically shoot flatter than flat base bullets. Target bullets
were primarily designed for target shooting but they are also effective on
larger varmints. This is not loaded ammunition.

It even has a pleasant smell.

Marco, that's thebullettesttube product from here;

http://www.thebullettesttube.com/

It's a plasticized wax, formula unknown. That company appears to be gone under, their website is all that's left of it. I got mine from Brownells, they may still have some left. You can no longer order direct from the website, and emails go unanswered.

Berger has been saying their match VLD hollow points are great deer medicine. Yeah, if what you want is a bunch of bloodshot meat with plenty of lead fragments driven into it.

They're going to get their butts kicked over there this election. How come people can't spell and use words correctly?
