Try Southern Belle Brass at Last time I bought from them it cost me 65 per thousand including shipping. The brass has worked fine for me. I think most of it has been fired more than once. I usually loose the brass long before I wear it out. That has been the best price I have seen in a long time.

With .45 ACP brass, if you can still read the headstamp, and it doesn't show any cracks, you can generally reload it. Get the cheap stuff, tumble it, and you may be surprised. I shoot it until I lose it.

I wait at the range for neat freaks who dispose of their brass. I can routinely find full boxes of newly fired Remington, Winchester or Federal brass in the bins at my local range. I rarely buy brass. Besides, using mixed dirty brass is a great way to get even with the guys who get to keep the "lost brass" from IDPA matches

Is there a commercial or state run range near you?
In SE Pa. there is a target master and they charge
$30 per 1000 and its mostly once fired remmington
since that is what they sell at the range and not many of
their shooters reload.

Poodleshooter's right.

I just scoop it up at the range regularly for FREE!

Why pay for it if you just saw it come out of the box.

After a couple of months, you'll have brass out the wazzu!

Just come out to the range with me sometime when a guy my buddies and I call "bubbleboy" is there. He shoots all his .45's without using a brass catcher. The way I figure it, if one of his hot cases has gone down into my shirt, it's mine .
