43 marked P38 rig
I acquired this at the last Pgh. gun show. A very nice looking all matching pistol with soft holster and extra mag.
Thanks for looking, Joe |

It is a 1943 Walther P38 and all parts are matching. The holster is 44marked on the back. Mags are just P38 marked. I paid 725 which I consider a fair price considering the" condition" + holster+extra mag.

I think you did well. I sold a plain CYQ a few months back for $1100. It was in comparable condition. Regarding the mags, they should also be marked "E / 359" on the spine. E/135 are for Mauser and E/88 are Spreewerk. There was also another code, that was also for CYQ. http://www.pistole38.nl/tech/magazine_guide.pdf

Jim, You are correct. They are both marked 359 on the spine along with a proof mark (Walther).
