Does anyone know about what the brass is worth these days, I came across 15 cases in my travels and don't own one of these beautiful old smokepoles myself. But it for some good reading.

Try they have a section for British cartridges. The loaded 577/450 rounds are selling for $9.95 each so the empty brass is worth something, I would give them a call.
