romanian wasr 10/63 sidefolder

i have a romanian 10/63 ak-47 with a factory tapco style sidefolder is the a way to remove it so i can put a fixed stock in its place

yes it's quite simple actually, there is a single screw located at the top of the stock where it meets the reciever, that is the only thing holding the stock to the reciever. I will caution you though that fixed buttstocks kick like a mule compared to side folders.

yea i noticed that but thanks for the info now all i need is to scrape up the money for a complete stock set or just buy a wood stock and sand it and my uper and lower handguard then revarnish it

CDNN has a full set of bulgarian furniture that should suit your purposes fine if you end up going the easy route.

i took the screw out and it still wont come out im new to side folders so is there any pointers lol

all of the wasrs I've dealt with furniture swaps on just had the one screw, is it the metal wire stock or the plastic side folder? I haven't worked with wire stocks too indepth so if that's the case you may have another screw or pin somewhere, if it's the plastic stock then there should only be the one screw and it probably just needs a little elbow grease.

There are two screws if I remember right. One in the tang, and one under the spring button.

Remove the top cover, then push the recoil spring rod forward to unhook it and move it to the side. Then remove these two screws. It may be a tight fit, but with those two screws out, you can wiggle and pull the stock out.
