Smaller than small!
Picked up some range brass, the other day. There were FC 9mm, WCC Military 9mm, with military crimp and FC NT 9mm with what appears to be a primer hole smaller than the military crimp, for that matter smaller than a regular small primer!!!!!!! Whats with this?
I have seen 45acp brass that uses small primers, but I never seen primers smaller than small! I guess this subject has been gone over before, but I missed it. I remember the NT being mentioned, but I did not know these primers were smaller than regular small primers. Any replys, appreciated. |

I think you are seeing a heavy ring crimp around standard diameter small primers in that Federal NT. It should ream or swage away and let you seat a regular small pistol primer.
