Dog Shoots best friend while Duck Hunting

Man's best hunting buddy shoots him in the arse......OUCH!!!

Who knows-doesn't say if the safety was engaged...Could the dog have also tripped the safety???? Hunters...basic safety, mussle in safe direction, safety on until you are on target! Thank God it is just a pain in the ARSE, and not a death!

The hunter came to shore with his canoe. He got out, leaving his shotgun across the front seat, IIRC. Anyhow, the dog scrambled out and in so doing, somehow stepped on the trigger such that it went Bang!

IOW, folks must consider all manner of possibilities when a loaded gun is near a moving critter--whether two legs or four.

I've read of other instances where a very happy dog jumped up and down on a person in ecstatic greeting and tripped a trigger.
