Rem. Model 11

I have to disassemble one of these for refinishing . Can anyone tell me how to remove the bolt ? It's different than the A-5 , and Steve's pages had just a parts schematic for it .

Unless it's a Sportsman, it's pretty much the same as an A5. 20 gauges are a bit trickier, but Model 11s are the same design as the A5, follow the same procedures. Remove forearm, remove barrel, remove stock, remove recoil spring retainer pin, remove trigger group, remove carrier, remove bolt handle, remove crosspin, remove bolt.

This one is a 16 Ga. and it doesn't have the little cutout in the receiver , that lets you get a punch in to tap out the cross pin . I'm about ready to throw it on the mill and make my own cutout . Have you ever seen one without the cutout ? There's a video on U-Tube that is very good except his gun is a 12 Ga. with the cutout and a very different bolt . I guess I'm stumped till someone comes along that knows the 16 Ga.

The pin is removed on all models Rem and Browning by inserting a proper size punch thru the small hole in the Left side of the receiver, tapping the pin out thru the breech opening on the right. Goat

Puzzeling for sure

I know how it's supposed to come apart . The problem is that the hole on the left side of receiver that is supposed to line up with the pin , doesn't . There is also no cutout in the receiver to push the latch/link pin out through the ejection port . I just took some pictures of it and can email them to whoever wants to see this freaky thing !
