Older NIKON 4x40 Scopes made in Japan
I came across two of them today used but pretty much new just older style I think. I have looked like 3 times, read a bunch and could not find them online anywhere. I want to know if the quality of these identical scopes. They say made in Japan. Glossy coat with a thin red line around the front. I attached a few photos I hope they show up.
Would you happen to have info, seen or heard about these? QUALITY? I just cant find info on it. Is it water proof, shock resistant or fog proof? When were these made and what are they worth? Ithink I got a GREAT deal but need to verify. thanks

Thanks...
Yeah I have tried a few times.
There are a few numbers on the bottom of each one. Will the number help with getting any specs? They are the same scopes with 2 different numbers. AND how do I find out when I have a new message/reply? I have to come here and search for my thread to see any feedback. Is there a way that I can receive an email when I get replies? Some sort of setting? ANYONE PM me if there is a way. Thanks

?
To get info click on your name, then find User CP, then go to edit e-mail options and this will let you be notified of e-mails that come in or replies to your threads.
Unfortunately I can't help you much with the #'s other then what I gave you already. A guy I spoke to said they should be waterproof and will be covered under Nkon's warranty if they fail. Neat to see the old pics. Thanks, |

MR. VEGAS
YOU SCORED A DEAL & A STEAL. NIKON PRODUCTS MADE DURING THAT TIME PERIOD, WERE CONSIDERED TO BE FIRST CLASS IN CONSTRUCTION & MATERIALS. NOT AS WELL MADE AS A BURRIS, BUT CERTAINLY EQUAL TO LEUPOLD / REDFIELD. YES, THEY ARE WP & FP.
PS: "T/C" SCOPES ARE MADE BY SIMMONS (high end quality) "PENTAX" SCOPES ARE MADE BY BURRIS "REDFIELD" SCOPES ARE NOW BEING MADE BY LEUPOLD GURU1911
