Got in only one day of Turkey hunting . . .

I got in only one day of Turkey hunting this spring. Was just about to give up when a jake (I think was a jake) showed up about 60 yards away. He hadn't made a sound. He was eyeing me with great suspicion, which was probably a wise choice on his part, but he was also attracted to my decoys. After about 20 minutes of not moving I cramped up and had to move a little . . . that was all it took. Zoom he was gone. But, I saw deer, geese, ducks, coons, multiple cardinals, buzzards and hawks . . . so all in all, it was a good hunt.
Live well, be safe.

part of it

You'll get skunked a whole lot in turkey hunting, .........go a whole lot of times and not kill one.

I killed a bird on our opener.........and hunted 21 more mornings and killed nothing more but time.

Gosh I love it so.
