Anybody try the XD(M) .45 yet?

i'm in iraq for another 9 months, so i won't be able to try that bad boy out for a while, yet. just wondering if anybody got any range time with that sweet little piece. If it's anything like the XD's and XDm's they've already made, i'm sure it's a quality piece. can't wait to try one out when i get home

YES!! I went to the range a couple of weeks ago and it was AWESOME!! I wanted to buy one right after I fired it but, the range was only given one for demo purposes. It is smooth, well-balanced, light recoil, and it fit PERFECTLY in my hand. I'm waiting on mine!

BTW, I fired the XD40 as well, but I was surprised at how much more accurate I fired with the XDm than the 40!

I fired mine today. I shoot a 100 rounds without a hiccup. I think I'm a better shot with XDM45 than my other semi (XD40 3", PT-101 and Sig Mosquito). I can pretty much hit the general area of what I'm aiming for. The recoil is not much more than my XD40. I really like it lot. I would have fired more but I brought 4 (a couple of rifles) other guns with me and shot them all.

I absolutely plan to, my friend thank you for the support!

I'm glad to hear that you guys have good reports on the XDm .45! i have a picture of it from my american rifleman mag on my wall; it's my inspiration- gets me through the day hahahaa. the great thing is, that since springfield came out with the interchangable backstraps for the XDm, many others have followed suit. Although, i'm sure there were some manufacturers that already had that feature on a pistol or two. either way, it's a very nice thing to customize you grips with. and springfields are just such great guns

One of the first things I did on mid-tour leave was buy a XD:M .40.
