I can only speak for my game zone since I don't hunt all over the state and there are different rules for each zone.

SC requires something like 400 square inches of unbroken blaze orange (a hat or vest is considered to be sufficient) only during the gun season for deer. It's not required for primitive weapons season or any of the small-game / bird seasons.

Suppressors are not legal for hunting and baiting is not allowed in game zones 1-3 (it is legal on private land in the remainder of the state).
To a much greater extent than most mechanical devices, firearms are terribly unforgiving of any overconfidence, complacency or negligence.

Here in Colorado you must wear orange BUT you CAN hunt with a suppressed select fire or full auto but a suppressor is OK...have a copy of your registration papers with you as it is required under both State and Federal Law.
