Mossberg 535 Turkey/Deer, want to use it for dove next week

Hey, fairly new to the shotgun community. Been hunting since i was 11, but never learned much about guns themselves, just used my dads old remington.
I bought a mossberg 535 turkey/deer combo, and want to take it dove hunting next week.

thats the gun I bought. Do i need to buy the 28" field barrel for dove, or can I take the choke off the 22" and that would be good. Any suggestions would help

You can use your 22" barrel. It will not have the same swing as a longer barrel, but it will work. You'll want to replace the turkey choke with a more open choke. I'd go with Modified. Do not shoot the gun without a choke installed as you can damage the fine threads used to hold your choke in place.

One thing you'll most definitely want to do is install a magazine plug to limit your gun's capacity to 2+1 rounds. Don't want to violate that particular rule for migratory birds.
