Can replacement barrels/parts be found for an Ithaca 37 20gauge with a 2 3/4 chamber?

I started a thread earlier: http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=372867

From what I've heard, it sounds like a good deal, so I am going to make the purchase soon.

I am concerned about something though, the Ithaca 37 I mentioned doesn't have removable chokes and I can't seem to find any replacement barrels or parts for it online.

Can someone help me out?

try the followoing websites,...

www.diamond.com the owner is former chief engineer from Ithaca, NY

www.ithacausa.com the new owner in Upper sandusky, oh they make new parts.

Where's the SN located, above the trigger on right side of receiver or on the narrow front face of the receiver? If on the narrow face, then you have a pre855,000 and all bareel need to be mated and headspaces individually.

Post 855,000 will accept all barrels

The Ithaca factory says that even some of the later models may need minor factory fitting to make a new barrel headspace properly. I would think that any good gunsmith could handle it, though. The new barrels from Ithaca are a bit pricey IMO, but you might get a better deal at Numrich (e-gunparts.com) if they have them.

It might also be possible to have the barrel threaded for choke tubes.
