Magtec Primers, intersting find

A year or so back ,I got several thousand Magtech SP Mag primers only to find they wouldnt go off in any of my pistols & revolvers (Model 28 & 27 Smiths, 642, Model 52 Smith and tauras 9mm).

I figured I'd just set them asside and use them for cast bullet loadings for my rifles and/or my 25-20.

Anyway, last week I bought a Smith 40VE, (cause I didnt have a 40cal).

I tried the Magtec just to see what would happen, sure enough, the primers worked.

Just for the WHAT ITS WORTH DEPT. If you have a bunch of these primers that you think you cant use.

Only thing I can think of is they have hard cups. Maybe. Designed for use in a full auto gun.

And... Maybe your new S&W being new has enough power in the fireing pin to pop em.

At least they won't just sit on your shelf collecting dust.
