Quick reply?

I'm new here and on every other forum there was a quick reply box under the thread. Just wondering if it got taken away or if you guys never had it.

We've never had it enabled here. To be honest, I'm not sure why.

Oh. I've always thought it was easier, since I never really needed all the functions the main response box has.

A simple text box is all I need. Plus, no waiting for the page to load.

Um, because it encourages folks to reply to a thread without reading the thread? Not that anything will stop people from doing this, but why make it easier?

Sorry, Al, but I don't see how having the Quick Reply box would change that aspect at all. Only if the "Post Reply" buttons were on the last page only of all threads could I see that. (IMO, that would be a great addition to the software!)

You might be confusing the Quick Reply box with the "Reply with quote" button that is located in each and every post - that is, it would be if we didn't nuke them from the gitgo.
