Shotgun ID
OK, a newbie to the forums, but I have a question about an oldie. I was about to sell a single shot shotgun, so a buyer could practice bluing. But I decided to see what I really had on my hands first. This shotgun is possibly a Ranger model or Meriden product? I have little to go on, so any direction to helpful sources is appreciated.
Left receiver finds the lettering: DEAD SHOT Barrell top lettering: 12 GA CHOKE Other than matching serial numbers, I can't make out anything else, though it's in very experienced condition. |

I appreciate that. I'll try the pic. One of my motorcycle forums makes fun of my pic attempts, but I'll work on it. The engraving is so faint however, that I won't capture that. So a pic may be of limited value? But I do appreciate the response.
A simple single, hammer fired design. And I'll try a picture. |

Take a #2 grapite pencil, go over what is stamepd on the gun. This should make the stamp easier to read.
