any interest in 1000yd range in northern New England

just trying to get a feel if there is much interest in a 1000yd range. This would be located in Maine, I have heard that the last one is in New York. The idea would be a club with membership, Military and Law enforcement uses, and annual shoots to generate some revenue. We currently run a club with 50, 100, & 200 yd ranges, and thought it would be fun to have a 1000yd.
We need some feedback before we go any further with this idea.

You build it, and they will come.

Go to and post that question on the BEYONE 1000 YARDS section, you'll get lots of takers.

I love 1000 yard matches, but NE is a bit far for me to drive since we have several 1000 yard ranges here.

1000 yard range

Maine has a couple 600 yard ranges, have you tried that distance yet? Check out Scarborough Fish & Game and Hampden Rifle & Pistol Club (Maybe others). I don't shoot high power myself/long range myself.
