Uberti open top

I just handled a Uberti open top in 38 spec. Very nice pistol. Are there any problems with this pistol? In particular the open frame.

Any pistol can present problems if the shooter doesn't bother to learn his way around it. A Colt's open top revolver is like any other gun, it's incumbent on the shooter to know the strengths and weaknesses of its design and be able to deal with its individual quirks.

I think he was asking for our opinions of the gun's strengths and weaknesses. I have no experience with it - do you have any that might help him?

I've got nothing but good things to say about my Cimarron 1872 .44Colt. Shoots to point of aim and is a lot of fun.

I think he might be talking about a top-break Schofield style in 38 spec. If thats the case, I'm also interested. jd
