Reduced Recoil Plastic Filler Ricochet???

Has anyone considered the ricochet potential of the plastic filler balls in managed recoil 00 buckshot and managed recoil slugs? I have heard it stated that they constitute an extremely dangerous potential ricochet hazard in close quarters like say in home defense. I have also heard contrarily however that the fact that the plastic fillers have such a low density that if one did ricochet it would manly only be a danger to say an exposed eye. Has anyone out there had any negative experiences of this kind while using managed recoil loads?
