Long Range Shooting Books

I'm purchasing an M14 soon and would like some recommendations on good books on long range shooting. I shoot pistols fairly frequently and have some experience in shooting rifles but haven't ever done much shooting over 300 yards. I'd like to get more technical information on shooting positions, sighting and zeroing, scope use, windage / elevation and sight adjustments, ballstics (general rules of thumb) and making my own ballistics cards. If there are other topics I need to read up on, let me know.

Ultimate Sniper

For me, one of the most comprehensive long range shooting books is the Ultimate Sniper by John Plaster. Of course, I am also very into the art of sniping and enjoy all the other aspects of the trade besides the shooting. I still highly recommend it. It has all the things you are talking about, and that is what I first used when I was starting out as well. Other than that, there is a ton of info on the web. I would recommend doing some searches, you probably don't even need to buy a book.

I would start with, "U.S.M.C. SNIPING", ISBN 0-87947-420-3

Jim Owens has some books out on the subject. He's a Retired MSGT from the USMC. Good reading.
Sinclair, Intl Sells his books. That's where I bought them. Champion's Choice might have them too.
