Lee, RCBS, Hornady, others all use a standard thread and are interchangeable.

From what I have read most people prefer the Lee dies over other brands for pistol. I have Lee dies for my pistol and they work great.

I like Lee carbide sizing dies for pistols ok, but I don't like their seating dies. I prefer Hornady dies, especially their seating dies. I also like the Lee FCD dies for bottleneck pistol and rifle (the ones with collets), but I don't like my carbide FCD for 45 colt.
