New to me Dillon.........

I fell into a deal that will greatly accelerate my entry into reloading and would like your input. My brother is giving me a Dillon Square Deal B press, scale, primers, powder and some misc accessories – great price huh? I conducted a search and have read previous posts on the topic. I realize they only use Dillon dies and will only reload handgun ammo.

My questions are, do you have any suggestions or tips regarding the SDB as I get ready to set it up? How about the primers and powder – do they have a shelf life?

Thanks and regards,

Yes they have a shelf life, but stored correctly they could outlive you.

Get a reloading manual ... get some reloading manuals ... get all the reloading manuals you can find. Read. 99.7% of what you need to know to reload is there all in the manuals and it's a lot quicker than coming to an online bulletin board and asking one question at a time for the next 9 years. Safer too.

Oh BTW, congratulations on the loader! You will love Dillon.

If he has lost the manual, ask Dillon for the instructions.
Did anybody say to get a book or books on the subject?
Do.

Yep, I have a copy of the ABC's of Reloading and if I'm not 'inheriting' a copy of Speer or similiar, I'll pick up one up.

Regards,

I'm truly jealous.

My Square Deal cost me a hundred bucks, and I thought I got a screaming deal!

You can download the manual from Dillon.

It's not a reloading manual, though.

More manuals is good.
