A friend of mine has a set on his Kimber Compact, in the bar/dot configuration. They work fine. Another choice are the Heinie SlantPro "straight-eight" sights. Heinie makes these for the Kimber and they are outstanding.

I had novak plain sights on my Springfield, and had IWI install pt nightsights, with the green front, and yellow rear. They work pretty good. And their price was pretty affordable to just drill the existing sights. And the turnaround was only about a week.

Novac makes sights that fit the Kimber dovetail I have them on my compact
All I had to do was touch them up a bit with a file and tap them in.

I like he Novac sights real well I have Hennie straight 8 on my Colt commander and I don't like them much at all. If Hennie's cut could be modified to take Novacs I would replace them.
