9mm muzzle velocity - CZ vs. Glock

Is there any difference in muzzle velocity between CZ-75 and Glock 17? A CZ has a slightly longer barrel but a G17 has the polygon one. Has anyone done some measures?

I have an M17 on the way; I own two EAA Witnesses (CZ clones); I have three 9x19 barrels for them.

Velocity differences will be based on each exact specific gun tested; what do you actually wish to learn?

If we had ten thousand examples we might collect some meaningful data; I been wrong before, though.

WeShoot nailed it. Every gun is gonna vary a bit and youll see different readings from the same box of ammo from the same your question is very hard to quantify.

GENERALLY!!!!!!!! SPEAKING!!!!!!!!! Id say the Glock may be a tad faster...the polygonal barrel does seal a bit better than most rifled barrels and thus give a tad more velocity.

I cant sware to it....but its a safe generalization.

Shoot well.
If they dont know you have a gun.....then I did alright!

If I understand the science behind a polygonal barrel...

It should have a slight edge on a CZ75..

Does that mean anything though?

Not really.

Both are excellent, well priced firearms. Get one or both, and enjoy

Any difference between the two will be negligable. Whatever gets shot won't notice a few fps difference.
