New Brass
I have a bag of new 340 Weatherby brass. Should I reload and shoot or should this new brass be sized first?

It should be full length sized this time even if you only plan to neck size it for subsequent firings, and trimmed to length also. New brass don't let you skip any steps.

I always full-length size and check the length of new brass, too.

Edward and Mike are Correct. Always resize your new brass first. Trim to length, debur the case neck inside and out and I always debur the primer hole on the inside on new brass. Once done, you will not have to debur the inside of the primer hole on subsequent reloadings, but case trimming and deburing of the neck is ALWAYS necessary. Good Luck.
