Crimson Trace Warranty or How I was treated.

I'm not posting to start the use them or don't use debate. Just wanted people to know what happened to me. I have a brace of old S&W 638's outfitted with the bootgrip and the fullsize grip. The bootgrip is four years old last March and just recently quite(no it was not the battery). I contacted CTC and asked them if this was to be expected seeing as their warranty period is only three years. They replied that this was unusal and asked me to return the grip to their warranty repair dept. After ten days they contacted me by e-mail and said my grip would be repaired no charge and returned to me. The grips arrived pre-paid ups and look "brand new". This may be true because it is easier to replace than repair some electronics. Just thought I'd let everyone know how a customer was treated after the warranty period is up

Thanks for the info, Texas Bob. It's refreshing to hear of a company that stands behind their products!...I recently installed a set of CTC LaserGrips on my Beretta 92FS

a few months ago the ct grips on my ruger sp-101 seemed to "go out of focus." was a big spidery web blob rather than the sharp little dot.
had been out at my range shooting it using the laser; turned it off and used the sights for a while. when turned the laser back on, had this 6" blob out there. assumed batteries; replaced them, no change. cleaned the lens per instructions, no change.
contated ct, they said send to them. i did. in about 10 days they sent me back, without comment, new replacement grips. mcole

Texas Bob - ' Glad to hear that about Crimson Trace Corp.!

I just recently signed our little (north Texas) biz up with them as a dealer. I anticipate mostly custom orders, installations and sight-ins.

Have had some of their products on personal guns and, once zeroed, have not had any glitches (unlike several others tested). Thanks. Greybeard

I love to hear news like this. It is rare, and therefore needs to be posted. A case where "nice guys finish first, not necessarily last." Wish more companies and people thought that way.

You can either get them locally and shop or get them from a dealer at a better price. My dad can get them "dealer cost" which is cheap. The grip I have on my SP has proven itself almost indestructable and even when I had to change the batteries..the sight was only 2" off at 30'. My Lady Smith may just be getting a new set of the shorty boot grips for pocket carry...they only bummer about that is its the only grip they make without the on/of switch. I figure its worth the compromise. I highly recommend this for a short distance/point shooting/short sight radius gun....vantastic.
Shoot well
If they dont know you have a gun.....then I did alright!

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice......Rush
