Mossberg 590 action job

I have a Mossberg 590 shotgun with the extended 7 round magazine. Other than it needing a good cleaning, I was wondering if any of the action parts should be polished or de-burred to enhance the functionality of the firearm. Perhaps using 600 grit wet-dry paper on the bolt carrier sides or the action arms?

I can't think of an article or newsthread that discussed doing such a thing. Is it a dumb idea or just not normally done? Should I just keep it clean and leave it at that?

I asked the folks at Vang Comp if they do a "tactical package" which includes "Polish, smooth and hone internal parts" for the 590A1. They said that it didn't need it. I don't know if that's also true of the 590.

The action on my 500A was silky-smooth right out of the box. I could see getting an action job on a 9200 (auto), but on a pump?

AGI's videotape sure didn't mention doing anything with the pump action - just clean it and lube it.

Guess I just wanted another excuse to take it apart...
