Carry-comps, pictures of fabrication process.

There are 28 pics in a series of several of these being built from bar-stock.
Follow the link below.
Each pic can be expanded twice for best resolution.
I'd like to hear your comments.

Compensator devices are, at this tme and level of technology, completely out of place on a serious defense handgun.

They serve no useful purpose.

I know a couple of former undercover Narc cops who'd disagree with that.

Personally I don't want one on a working gun, but I won't bemoan another's choice.

BTW Chuck, did you ever get the PM I sent on 1911forum before its latest voyage into the unknown?

Not a big fan of carry comps, either...

But the workmanship is exquisite on the finished product, congratulations!

As with any addition to a carry gun, to each his own. I carrya little J frame and have done everything but Comp the gun for carry. Only disadvantage for carry gun would be more flash and slightly longer barrel. Otherwise the choice is a nobrainer. Easier follow up shots and less recoil. BTW they do look nice. If I could only get one to fit on my P-85
An X is still an X with a Quarter Inch group at 100 yards
With a Quarter Inch Group on the keyboard an X could be - Z,S,D, or C.
I am a quarter inch typist - Please excuse the errors!
