.22LR kits good for 3gun practice?

Hello everyone.

While .22LR remains as scarce as a pink flying elephant in my parts, I was curious if using this particular type of setup would be a wise choice for someone who wants to get into the competition shooting world.

Ulltimately, I'd like to into 3gun shooting, so far the choices I'm looking at is an M4 style AR15 with a CZ75 serving as my handgun of choice (I'd be using a .22lr conversion kit for both of these firearms). The shotgun I've yet to decide on.

Trigger discipline and being able to quickly acquire and fire upon targets appears to be the biggest thing with 3 gun shooting, at least from what I've observed. This means you need to practice...a lot, and that obviously can get expensive if you don't have the facilities/tools to reload.

That said, I was wondering if purchasing a dedicated .22lr upper for my AR15 and conversion kit for my pistol of choice would be a good route to go so that I can practice as best I can without breaking the bank.

What do you all think, should I bite the bullet on this? (pun not intended)

Sure.
Absolutely.
Airsoft, even, is good practice.
Much of what you will need to do can be done with either, for rifle and pistol.
Some of the top scoring 3 gunners use them.
That ought to tell you something.

I am sure there are 22lr rifles with the same basic controls as your ar and pistol

if I lived in the US where you don't have to contend to stupid gun laws like over here I would never get a conversion when I could get a new gun!
