GM-94 Pump-Action Grenade Launcher

Saw this the other day, was very entertained by it. Starts at 34sec (warning: some adult language when the crusty old SAS guy fires it)

Seems like the Russian equivalent of the US vietnam-prototype pump-action grenade launcher...

Or is it their own unique design?

Anyone know anything about this monster?

I know nothing about the russian launcher but I carried the M-203 that replaced the M-79 launcher. Both were single shot it's just that the M-203 attaches to the M-16 which gives you 2 weapons in one.

What's the arming range of a US 40mm HE grenade?

This Russian deal seems built for closer ranges. When SAS guy says it's employed in house-to-house fighting, that wasn't an error. Watch the rest of the episode to see them use it in room clearing drills.

Hope they doubled up on the hearing protection.

I can't remember right now, it's armed after XX rotations of the projectile. In a room clearing op I would use the buckshot round instead of frag no danger to friendlies that way.
