100,000 Signatures Needed

A petition was created at the White House website for tighter gun control and received the fastest response ever for a petition of this sort.

The same petition was taken and had a few words changed to be in favor of gun rights.

We need to show the White House that we care about our gun rights or they will be taken away more and more everyday.

Mental health kills, not guns.

In China mass murders of school children happen every year with knives. Knives are the weapon of choice because they have strict gun control laws over there.

This will be promoted through forums, Facebook, and Twitter all week. Please share this link through your favorite forums and social media today.

Sign the petition now!!

First of all, the title is confusingly worded.

Quote:
The goal of this petition is to force the Obama Administration to produce legislation that keeps access to guns.
I don't understand that sentence very well. The legislation has access to guns? Furthermore, the use of the word "force" is far too strong.

Quote:
face the reality that access to firearms is what the Second Amendment intends to achieve.
The 2nd Amendment doesn't intend to achieve anything. It's a written guarantee that a right not be infringed.

This thing is too poorly written to be taken very seriously by its intended audience, and even if it wasn't, these petitions don't achieve anything. Sorry to sound so intemperate, but the underlying premise is flawed, and the effort would be far better spent contacting our representatives directly.
