P17 cock on open kit
My shooting buddie (Plateshooter) took his Winchester P17 in .06 to the range today with a cock on open kit in it. Would not fire, light strikes. What should the proper firing pin protrusion on this be?
TIA. |

It is easy to compare firing pin protrustion with and without the kit.
It is possible that there is not enough spring tension. Didn't the kit come with a stronger mainspring? Those cock on opening kits reduce the firing pin fall and thus the amount of force. They usually require a stronger spring to make up for that. Jim |
