P17 cock on open kit

My shooting buddie (Plateshooter) took his Winchester P17 in .06 to the range today with a cock on open kit in it. Would not fire, light strikes. What should the proper firing pin protrusion on this be?

TIA.

It is easy to compare firing pin protrustion with and without the kit.

It is possible that there is not enough spring tension. Didn't the kit come with a stronger mainspring? Those cock on opening kits reduce the firing pin fall and thus the amount of force. They usually require a stronger spring to make up for that.
