how hard to turn tactical?
Ok i mighta found me a charles daly field semi auto for a good price.
its jet black and has the look i like but i want a pistol grip stock. Is it hard to change stocks on these type of guns or are they fairly univeral and easy? just tryin to see ehat im gettin myself into. tnx...RR |

Are you wanting a pistol grip only style, or more like an AR style?
If PGO, I believe it will not be possible due to the recoil spring which is generally located in the stock |

As I replied in your other post, on putting a pistol grip on an autoloader, the Remington 1100 in that case - virtually ALL gas-operated, and most long recoil, and some short recoil, autoloading shotguns are designed with a bolt return spring (AND it's carrier/housing) affixed to the rear of the receiver, precluding any buttstock except some sort of longer stock - why pumpguns are the best for conversion to the "Cruiser" config.
Knowing that, instead of asking about each/every shotgun you see - remove the buttstock from any prospect, and eyeball the naked rear of the receiver. If it's projectionless, it's OK for a PG, if it has a long projection, not. . |
