WARNING! WRINCHSLINGER001/Eric Knight/[email protected]

I would be very wary of dealing with WRINCHSLINGER001, AKA Eric Knight, AKA [email protected] after the incident I had with him.

His address is listed as:

Eric Knight
709 Knollwood Dr.
Columbia SC 29209

In the TFL Gun Show/Buy, Sell, & Trade thread, I emailed him to purchase the .40S&W Wolf ammo he listed for sale:

http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...d.php?t=208309

via email correspondence, I agreed to mail him $40 in USPS MO for the ammo. Several weeks after I confirmed that he had received the money order, I emailed him to ask him about the ammo since I had not received it but no reply. Even after several more email, zero reply and no ammo.

Nails, add hammer...

You may have a case to complain to the US Postal Service about...mail fraud is a definite no-no, especially with stuff like this...

http://www.usps.com/postalinspectors/fraud/
http://www.usps.com/postalinspectors...dComplaint.htm

Had some rube awhile ago jerk me around with excuses out the ear about not shipping what I had bought from him...an email to him, copied to the Attorney General's office, and with the above links mentioned got it overnighted to me free of charge the following day - the clown knew I wasn't taking any crap from him anymore.

If he's ripping you off, nail his butt to the wall....

thanks...

for a moment, I thought maybe the guy got sick or was in an accident, and thus, unable to answer email.

I guess I'll have to report fraud with U.S. Postal Services and file a claim for fraud involving postal MO.

This is a very good reason to have a 25 minimum post count before posting in the classifieds.

Call the postal inspector. You will have to go to court to get your money back, so it is probly not worth it.

That is basically what I was told, but I will file suit in small claims. I will also be ensuring he faces criminal charges.

This is to let all interested members know that GUNTECH1/WRINCHSLINGER001 was banned from TFL several days ago for reasons other than his dealings here in the B/S/T forums. Therefore there will be no responses from him in these forums and PM's will go unanswered. As far as we know his email is still valid: [email protected]

Blackwater Ops,

what do you think about writing a letter to the local police department? I'm thinking of filing a charge via Postal Inspector and also via local police department which has jurisdiction over his zipcode.

SKSmatt

that's becuz as a buyer, he has zero chance of getting the item w/o paying for it in advance. As a seller, I've actually shipped the item before I received the payment.

Yea, I see your point; it's just a damn shame At least you have his address & personal info, I hope you can recover something. That is the same name and address that I shipped the mags to.

Dang! I just met up with him today and picked up two boxes of .30-30 ammo. He tried to sell me the .40 ammo, but I didn't need it. He told me he was kicked off TFL due to a buyer of his shotgun just getting arrested for beating someone up, and he refused to ship the gun to him after being arrested and refunded his money.
He seems like a really nice guy FTF. I came here looking for the lowdown on the SG sale and found this.
theinvisibleheart, PM me and I'll send you his cell phone number.

LOL, which one of the people he sold it to, because he cashed MOs from at least two of us. BTW, he does seem like a cool guy when you talk to him, but he is either incredibly absent minded or likes to con people. I if he is referring to me with the story he told, he is full of BS.
