More like McMillan stocks. They were fielded way before 2010.

There were some McMillan stocks in use the entire time, before and after GWOT, but the Rock Island SDM / DMR M14s pictured are in EBR chassis stocks made by SAGE. The EBR chassis hit the scene in 2004, and it gives the M14 rifle the same harmonic frequency every time for consistent results.

I never saw one; however, in 2003 I did see a 173rd soldier in Northern Iraq with an M14 fitted with a McMillan stock.

Mod 2 - 250
Mod 0 type SEI - 125
M39 EMR - 700
M14EBR-RI - 6200

There were numerous self financed EBRs that are not on the list.

I can see how someone might not ever see one over there, but they were there.

One suspects that to be more of an M21 than M14 rifle.

I carried one of the McMillan stocked DMRs, for the life of me I can't remember if it had a Douglas or a Krieger barrel, and it was topped with a Leupold LR/T fixed 10 power. That thing was HEAVY.

It didn't have a scope so I believe it was a match grade M14.
