What is your most favorite rifle / gun.
What gun or rifle do you grab, when you want to go out shooting just for the joy of shooting. No other limitations. For me, I love my modded AR-15 and my modded 10-22, because they are both lightweight and ammo seems to be readily available and somewhat affordable for each. Recoil is negligible on both guns, and their is almost no end to the customization that you can do to ether rifle. So, these are my choices, I would love to know what everyone else would choose.

Well I have a favorite rifle, and a couple of "fun guns".
My favorite rifle is an Hk SL-7, fairly accurate, nice sights, and a pretty handy rifle. This is probably what I most often take to the range by myself. My first fun gun is an AUG A3, just feels right, and shooting it is a pleasure. I tend to take this along when I have company shooting. The second fun gun is an MP5 clone, its just a blast. This also tags along whenever shooting with friends and acquaintances. |

My Mosin!
Fun to shoot and powerful (although it lacks fire rate)

Good choices. I had not heard of the HK-SL 7, very nice. I have just bought a CZ Scorpion carbine, but I have yet to shoot it. I am hoping it fulfills my longing for an MP-5 type gun.
I almost bought an MP-5 many years ago, but I decided not to. Now of course, I am left what all those What If / If Only type feelings of non buyer's remorse. I live in the middle of nowheresville, but even in my small little hometown, we had a decent LGS back in the day. I can remember being 18, circa 1983, and seeing a bounty of beautiful H & K rifles hanging up on the wall of the gun store. Of course, by the time I could afford such things, the assault weapons ban had been implemented, and you can cue the Violin music here, cause my chances at getting a H & K rifle for a affordable price, likely have passed forever. |

It's a toss up between my .44mag 92 Rossi or my Saiga IZ132 7.62x39.

Sig MPX with brace.....thank goodness 9mm is cheap because it is very easy(fun) to empty the mag. Over and over again. I have a Trijicon MRO on that also contributes to it being my favorite fun gun.

Can't answer that--if I had one favorite--I wouldn't have so many.

+1 - It's hard for me to pick a favorite as well. If I'm going out to pop pasture poodles, it'll probably be one of my CZ 527's. For goofing off at the range, it's probably the .30 Caliber M1 Rifle. For formal or informal high power match shooting, either my Remington 03A3, Eddystone 1917, M1A, or wood stocked AR15. For Running Boar target shooting, my CZ 455 Ultra Lux. For Running Boar Rapid Fire, 10-22.

Marlin Model 60 - cheaper than my 10/22, more accurate, and ammo is plentiful.

Probably my Marlin 336 in 30-30, it's just perfect.

Good question. For me my Henry 44mag, M1 Garand or Mosin Nagant. All of those are just fun as hell to shoot. I like shooting my mini-14 and SKS too. My Henry 22lr and Ruger 10/22 is fun as well. Just bought a Rough Rider 4.75" barreled 22lr/22mag thats alot of fun. Oh, both my AR's are fun. Been shootng those quite a bit lately testing handloads. Hell I like shooting my pellet gun!!

Barrett M107A1 hands down.
The AK's were fun but nothing compares to a .50 cal rapid fire into an engine block!

The one rifle I seem to always take with me is my AR15 SBR with it's suppressor. I think the suppressed Uzi SBR I am currently building may become my next favorite.

If I had to narrow it down to just one, it would have to be my Pre 64 Model 70, in '06 with an old El Paso 4X Weaver scope.
Not the one I shoot the most, but it would have to be my favorite since we narrowed it down to just one. Apparently I'm not the only one since this same set up was made the official Alaska State Gun. To Edit after I realized this was in the Semi Section, if we are limiting it to semis then it would have of be my Garands.

I agree with the "difficult to narrow it down to one"
sentiment. But I would be bringing the Marlin 1894, in 44mag, with iron sights. |

Hard to call between my AK and my SKS. Probably overall my SKS. It's easy to get prone and relax slow firing.
OTOH those rapid fire mag dumps can be a good cure for the blues from time to time. The AK is better for that. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk |

I could narrow it down to two, for very different reasons.
My Dad's very nicely crafted .270 Mauser custom. Irreplaceable. That's something I'd fight over. My .300 BLK AR pistol. It did me a favor by scratching my itch. I went through a bunch of ARs but none really delivered the qualities I was looking for. I was not too keen on AR pistols because well...as a pistol they suck. I was looking at them all wrong. My itch is satisfied and that's not the easiest thing to accomplish. |
