I remember clearly that some years back there was a company running an ad in the Shotgun News for a sort of conversion kit that allowed one to fire .22 LR through their AR-15, without making any permanent mods to the rifle. I'm wondering if such kits are still available and, if so, whether anyone has any feedback on how reliable, accurate, etc., they are. Names and/or contact info for manufacturers would also be appreciated. Anybody got any intel?

Hey Matt!!!! Ceiner has a kit but the best I have seen was from Steve Sarich (sp?) in Houston, Tx. On his you push the pin out and mount a whole new top end.

Thanks, Jeff! I just found out that Bushmaster makes a kit, too, so apparently there are several options.

Matt,
First, welcome to TFL. Second, posting the same question in mulitpul Forum is not look highly upon. You will have to check different places, will get duplicate responses and combined that uses up server space. Please post your topics in the most appropriate forum. Seeing that this same question is also posted in The Art and has replies I'm going to ask members to respond there. Thanks, and welcome aboard. ------------------ Schmit GySgt, USMC(Ret) NRA Life, Lodge 1201-UOSSS "Si vis Pacem Para Bellum" |
